Our story

 It all started in 2014, meeting on Eharmony and marrying in 2015. When our first child was born in 2017, we realized we wanted him to be able to run and play. We wanted him to be brought up being taught about responsibility, ownership, hard work and dedication. We thought what better way than to grow up than on the family's ranch with animals and all the avenues ranch life has to offer.

​In the late summer of 2019, moved 300+ miles away from Kelly’s home town (Suburb of Twin Cities MN). Our ranch here in ND is the 4th generation to have family living on it. Established in 1896 by Lance’s great grandfather.

Moving back home, there weren’t any animals here when we started our journey. We started with a manageable herd of Katahdin Hair sheep for the beginners in us. We then gathered a few bottle calves from friends of ours. Growing steadily with the Simmental cattle ever since and keeping a steady manageable flock of sheep. Kelly now homeschools our children allowing them the full realm of true ranch life. Hopefully leaving a legacy for our children to carry on.

Growing and learning over the years. We have now grown into an operation we are proud of. We truly care about our animals and provide the best for them. ​At M-T Ranch there are no strings attached. We are 100% transparent. We love to have honest, meaningful, quality relationships with our customers. ​

The passion we bring to our business and the love for our very own land go hand in hand here at our ranch. We see the beauty in our surroundings everyday knowing that here we are leaving a legacy. We are growing and thriving, searching to do better everyday for our children. We believe you should know your food and take small steps daily doing the things that inspire you.

Be passionate about where your food comes from. We love being able to provide you with quality lamb from our ranch to your table. ​Also, bringing strong genetics with our Simmental/Angus bulls and replacement heifers.
